Hi everyone,
Been a little while since I posted anything, but as ever, I’ve been far from inactive, both at my regular job and with my writing.
I mentioned previously, that I had entered three of my songs into the best lyrical catagory at this year’s UK songwriting competition.
At first, I was dissapointed that none of them went on to the semi finals. I must admit I felt discouraged and wondered if I would stop writing. Then five minutes later I went back to writing a new idea I had.
That all said, since then, I’ve felt happy that my entries all did well in the contest prior to the semi final shortlist. Two of them received a good rating, while the other one, received an even higher rating and I will receive a certificate confirming that, in the opinion of the judges, my song achieved the best possible result, outside of winning the whole thing, other than that can be achieved by a semi finalist or finalist.
Right now I’m working on developing further my skills as a songwriter and also still working on my novel.
