The Waterfall

We walked down to the waterfall, In the summer’s sun,

We went down to the waterfall, Thinking it would be such fun,

On the way I looked at you, And I knew I was in love,

The sky was blue and beautiful, Heaven shined from above,

When we got to that waterfall, You wanted to take a swim,

I looked at you and I wanted you to let me in,

As the time went by I realised, You didn’t feel the same,

The ripples and currents between us, We’re causing me too much pain,

So I got back up on the shore, If I had cried it have fell like rain,

We walked back to where we’d been before, But by now I knew your love wasn’t true,

And I can’t blame the waterfall, The only thing I can blame is you.
