The world is so unfair, Many times, I’m just left standing there
Mouth open, Amazed at all the things I’ve had to face, Couldn’t hold on to my job, And even then, I’ve not achieved a lot
Couldn’t buy a home or drive a car, The whole world knows I haven’t come far, At my age, now too old, I’ll never get as far as I hoped to go
The world is so unfair, I’m left open mouthed, standing there, A girl my age, the whole world knows, Died so young, She had so much more to go
Though she had already achieved so much, In such a short life, She lived many of my dreams, Time after time
I may live a loser, Many would say, But I’m lucky, as at least I live all the same
I must never lose sight of the promises I’ve made,The tears I’ve cried were genuine and not shed in vain, As long as I’m still able, I’ll try to fly
If I crash, I’ll rise again, And know at the very least I gave it a try
