Holidays are coming

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, isn’t it? Indeed, as I walked through a shopping mall located somewhere between the Thames River and Brighton yesterday, the shops were busy, filled with end to end gift ideas and long lines.

This isn’t a complaint, to me it’s always been part of the fun of the season, even if this year I do stress the need to social distance and wear face coverings still. Of course, we can now cheat with online shopping too. (Though I don’t like how this is still killing off many of the bricks and mortar chains, and have even mentioned this is my poetry a few times, and will be using this as the basis for my next short story, I won’t mention that again in this post, outside if these brackets).

I do remember years ago, just before the dot com boom, one Christmas, looking for a copy of Lionel Richie’s Greatest Hits, only to find every record store in town had sold out. I’m sure this year online sellers are well stocked however, ready for dispatch to any part of the globe!

I will be posting again soon, with new poems, but as and when I can fit it in with all the gift buying, meet ups with friends and family and work from now til the new year.

Hope everyone stays safe and well, and also enjoys the build up to the holidays.

All the best!

Rob
