I’ve given you my reasons
I need to do no more
I’ve told you I don’t want to
And that’s all I need to do

I haven’t lied
Or cheated
Like so many others have
Don’t ruin what’s between us
Cut me some slack

You claim my words are excuses
But, as the truth you will not admit
Means even if I talked in riddles
You’d never be able to take a bloody hint!
