Hi

I do hope everyone is having a good day. The positive feedback I am continuing to receive about this blog from readers is certainly very motivating for me.

I will be putting more of my efforts up shortly, so please do keep looking out for them.

I think poetry, like music, stories and other ways of putting our thoughts, feelings and ideas into something lasting, be it fiction or based on real events, is really a way of documenting the authors very existence in a way, and for the reader is ultimately a way to enjoy something, or to reflect on something, and ultimately it’s these things that help us connect our own life events together, as we associate them with both our memories of times gone and our future aspirations.

That’s certainly always been my personal perspective. For example all my memories from any given period in my life certainly have a musical soundtrack beside them, and if I see a rerun of a TV I’ve loved, I often remember when it first aired and where or who I was with then, and it’s almost as if I’ve revisited that place and time.

I’m sure it’s the same for many people, if not everyone.

Anyway, I must head out now on this rainy English afternoon. As I said I’ll be posting more very soon.
